RouteYou the App allows you to choose from a great set of recreational routes (more than two million). These are created, uploaded and shared on the website http://www.routeyou.com
You too can make routes on that website and use them in this app! And all for free!
Search:
The main purpose of this app is to guide you along pre-defined routes that are available on the RouteYou platform. To view routes near your current position your get a handy map (Route Overview) or a list (Route List).
Do you want to look for a specific route? The Route Search provides plenty of options. After selecting the route, you can view the route and be guided along that route.
View and follow a track:
If you selected a route, you can view the route in the RouteView module. There you can see your (gps) position, the selected route and POIs along the route. The map rotates based on the direction you move (bearing) and pans based on your relative position. Both options can be turned on or off. If you come near a POI, you get a signal and you get an info window with explanations about the POI.
Download and offline:
You go abroad or to and area with poor data connectivity? In that case you better download the route and maps using the ""Go offline"" module.
Content Code:
Do you have a specific content code of a RouteYou partner? In that case, you can enter it in the Content Code module. So you get to see a specific selection of routes with linked POIs.
Settings:
Check out the module "Settings". It allows you to change many aspects of the app (e.g. type of map, statistical information on the route, automatically open the POI, ...).
